Kneipp Kurhotel Steinle

There's a lot to do here without leaving the hotel, from treatments and water gymnastics to the pool and jacuzzi. You can choose from short therapeutic rinses, mud wraps, massages, and longer procedures, for prevention or particular ailments. The gym has treadmills, elliptical trainers, upright and recumbent bikes, a rowing machine, weights, and back and leg equipment I'd never seen before. There are stretching mats and a tap for fresh mineral water from a deep underground well. The food is first class. Breakfast has meats, cheeses, grains, breads, fresh fruit, fancy coffee, and more. For dinner, you fill out a card with the day's menu choices, and the meal is cooked to order. I've had fantastic schnitzel, tender salmon, fine vegetarian dishes, plus salad and desserts, all as part of a five or six course menu. It's a medium sized hotel, with comfort and luxury alongside all the health and healing options. The rooms have what you need, including modern bathrooms, a safe, mini fridge, TV, WiFi, and balcony. The dining room is pleasantly lit.

The owner waited patiently while our flight was delayed and we arrived late, then gave us a warm welcome. We were shown to our room and got an explanation of how the appliances worked. We'd forgotten our adapters, but they even had UK-Germany ones for us. The room was lovely and clean, and breakfast had plenty of buffet choices. There are a gym, pool, spa, and salon, so it's easy to relax here. One of the best hotels we've stayed at for quality and service. Thanks to the management for the experience. We'd definitely recommend it.

The rooms weren't cleaned, and the toilet kept leaking even after we told the staff. Those issues were overshadowed by the much worse problem with our electric car. Mr. Steinle used the hotel's wall-box to charge it and fiddled with the charging cable while there was a charging issue, without our permission. Afterward, the car had to be towed away by the ADAC. He was very impolite, denied doing anything wrong, and wouldn't help. While we were stuck at his hotel trying to arrange how to get home, he even wanted to charge us extra. It's a shame to meet people like that in a place where you're hoping to enjoy some time off. I do want to acknowledge the polite lady at reception and the lady in the restaurant.

A relaxing stay had everything we needed: good food, an indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and games room. The room and bathroom were big and clean. Nothing to complain about.
