Sonnenstube

The owner is friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean. The views are beautiful, and it’s a good base for hikers. The food and the rooms themselves were less impressive, though. Better equipment would help, as would a heartier breakfast and dinner. The owner’s mother usually cooks, and I think more regional dishes could be offered. It’s fine for a basic stay, but I wouldn’t expect much beyond that.

We had a lovely few days here as a family. Dinner was generous and delicious every time, and room service was impeccable. The staff were consistently friendly and accommodating. The owner helped with our luggage, took care of special requests, and suggested excursions. Thanks for a fantastic holiday.

The hotel is quite central in Baiersbronn, with the train station only a few minutes away on foot. Our room was basic but clean, and it seems to have been renovated recently. The owner is easy to talk to, offers hiking and excursion tips, and is ready to listen if you need something. You feel looked after from arrival through departure. Breakfast is simple but has what you need. I didn’t try dinner, though it seemed varied and reasonably priced. Coffee and cake in the afternoon are free, and there are refrigerators for your own food and drinks. A fantastic stay, highly recommended.

We had a really nice time at this small, family-run hotel. The breakfast is plentiful, with everything you need in the morning. In the afternoon, coffee and cake are free, and at dinner you can choose between two menus. Everything tasted delicious. The owner does the cooking and baking himself.
