Hotel und Restaurant "Balduin"

The new team seems to be putting a lot of effort into bringing things back after the hotel was closed for three years because of the previous owner’s illness. You can see they care about keeping the historic setting and helping tourism in the village. The rooms have a rustic feel but have been modernized, and the staff are very friendly. It’s right by the river with lovely views, and for the price, it’s absolutely fine.

I was visiting Mutter Meera while dealing with a serious illness, and really needed somewhere peaceful. The quiet weekend here, its closeness to Mutter Meera, and the atmosphere all helped. From the balcony, I could sit and watch the river and feel some relief inside. The balconies and windows all face the water, which looks especially beautiful in the evenings. The sunset, the air, the river, it all felt so calm and profound. Thank you.

The balcony looks straight over the Lahn River, which was a plus. But the hotel is very old and run-down, and the heating was inadequate while I was there. The room never got properly warm, especially the bathroom.

The breakfasts at the restaurant were a hit with both the kids and adults, with tasty food and generous portions. We all loved the location, the fresh air, and the beautiful natural surroundings. The service was top-notch, and our whole family really enjoyed staying at this hotel. I’d recommend it to anyone who values comfort and quality.
