The rooms are clean and practical, and the location makes it easy to get into town. There’s parking nearby, and breakfast is healthy. It’s unstaffed after around midday, but that arrangement works well.

Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, and the rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel is conveniently placed for Bamberg’s old town, which isn’t far away. There’s also a reasonably priced parking garage nearby where you can safely leave your car for several days. Afternoon check-in uses an automatic reception. It wasn’t a problem for us since they send the information ahead of time. Just enter the code.

Breakfast was lovely, and the hotel is clean and efficient. It’s in a great location, with everything you need. There’s no staff on site after midday.

Once I got into the room, the stay was okay. It was small and basic, but had what I needed, though it got very cold at night. Getting in at 8pm was stressful. No one was working there, and even though I’d requested a late check-in through booking, I hadn’t received the instructions or door code. I couldn’t reach the emergency number, but another guest helped me get inside, and I eventually found my room key. Breakfast was fine, with lots of choice if you go early. There was also a nice selection of teas and mineral water available in the breakfast room at all times.
