i don’t eat many sweets because i’m not into them, but this is a lovely place to look at them. those curious pigs made me smile :) it’s cozy and authentic, nice for tea or coffee and maybe a pastry, then reading a book or writing some google reviews. they don’t take credit cards, like around 70% of places in germany.

The rooms were very hot, and smoke from the smokers’ courtyard drifted into the upstairs rooms. The courtyard has a plastic roof and no air exchange. Breakfast wasn’t available until 9:30 am. Our booking was changed from one triple room to a double and a single without telling us there would be additional costs.

The cafe area is a pleasant, casually decorated spot, and the hotel also has a patisserie with a very good range of sweets and cakes. The coffee is good too. It gets fairly crowded and is popular with travelers. Dogs are welcome, and there’s outdoor seating.

I’ve been traveling around Germany for a while, and this has been my worst hotel so far. My room faced the “main” road, and I was glad I’m used to sleeping with earbuds. There were no fans or air circulation, and both the rooms and bathroom need renovating. It’s decently priced, but I’d recommend booking somewhere else. Peace from a Norwegian backpacker :D

A suitable place, clean, and the staff were nice. Parking was almost €6 a day, and the breakfast choices were limited. July 2015.
