We loved how thoughtfully the Predigstuhl apartment was put together, from the coordinated cushions, tablecloths and lampshades to the Christmas touches on the table during Advent. It felt pretty without being overdecorated, and the bright living and dining room looked out over the mountains. We stayed there with our dachshund from late November to early December 2025, at the Aschauer family's place, and were completely happy with our stay. We regularly holiday in Bayerisch Gmain and would definitely return. The area is incredibly beautiful and varied, with shops nearby and a bus stop not far away. The apartment has a rustic Bavarian feel, a balcony with garden furniture, and access by stairs. The holiday home is separate from the farmhouse, though the owner is close by if you need her. The fenced lawn outside has a sandbox, barbecue and plenty of room for children. Inside, it was clean, with a small kitchen that had the essentials, including a coffee maker, kettle, toaster and plenty of dishes. The fridge is in the hallway because it doesn't fit in the kitchen, and there's a microwave on a small shelf in the living and dining room. The windows all have at least one fly screen, and the bathroom is modern and recently renovated. Mrs. Aschauer was lovely to talk to, and never pushy or intrusive. Fresh rolls can be delivered if requested. Getting the keys, paying the bill and receiving the guest card were all quick and easy. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

There are plenty of attractions nearby, and public transport is available. The apartment was beautiful, with mountain views, and we could park right outside the house. The landlords were very nice. We'd happily stay here again.

The owners made us feel so welcome, and the children could visit the animals whenever they liked. Austria was only a short walk away. We had lots of space and a beautiful view, and this was the cleanest vacation rental I've ever stayed in. I nearly cried when we had to leave yesterday. We'll definitely be back. We spent three weeks here and felt completely at home. The apartment was spotless and very well equipped, with restaurants and shops close by. It's a beautiful farm in a great location, and the owners were always helpful and gave us some great tips. Already looking forward to next year!
