Herrenhaus Schmölen

Super from A to Z.

The historic building may not impress at first glance, but inside it’s a thoughtfully kept guesthouse. The rooms each have their own look, blending old and modern, and we were greeted with real warmth when we arrived. It’s a peaceful spot, and I’d happily stay there again.

Quiet and lovingly run, this manor house is a good affordable choice for an overnight stay with breakfast, and you can book a suitable room. There’s a ferry on site for crossing the Mulde River. It’s well placed for hiking and cycling, with good food nearby, and close to the poetic city of Wurzen.

The rooms were clean and comfortably furnished in an authentic style, and our guests loved the atmosphere and warm welcome. We celebrated our silver wedding anniversary at the manor house over the Pentecost weekend, and the excellent breakfast won praise too. While planning, we had frequent, very pleasant contact and saw how much warmth, dedication, and genuine enjoyment Heike and the team put into welcoming guests. They supported us throughout and made our celebration a complete success. Our guests thanked us again for the lovely evening and warm reception, and we’d all be glad to return. Wishing you a wonderful summer and many more happy guests.
