B&B Hotel Berlin City-West

Our room looked onto the backyard, so it was quiet and pleasant. The reception staff were lovely: two friendly women welcomed us warmly and quickly helped with a room issue, which was sorted out within minutes. We were very happy with how things went.

The room seemed designed for someone with a disability, though I didn't need those features. I felt it was irresponsible to assign it to me when it could have been kept available for someone who did. The bathroom was dim, making shaving difficult, and the shower drain was clogged. Although the hotel seemed clean in general, I didn't receive room cleaning on any of the three days. The receptionist only explained the three-day rule on my last night. Breakfast was clean-looking and fine for something light, but the limited choices weren't enough for a proper workday. I also hadn't been told that breakfast staff would ask me to put my used plates on a trolley. I don't mind doing that, but I would have liked to know beforehand so I could enjoy breakfast in peace. The price felt far too high for the service. This was my worst hotel experience.

Parking was the only thing I'd complain about, it was very tight. Otherwise, everything was great: our room was warm and spotless, we had an amazing view of Berlin, and the reception staff were really kind.

I booked the B&B Hotel Berlin on 22 October 2025 because I couldn't find other options, though I generally avoid hotels without an international presence. I wouldn't stay at B&B again, even if it meant sleeping on the street. I arrived for breakfast ten minutes after it had ended. A staff member who was eating herself stopped me while I was serving food and told me to put down what I had and leave. Her own coffee and plate were still full, and she spoke to me while clearing bread crumbs from her mouth. I found her arrogant, abusive, and completely unaware of how she was coming across. I believe that if a guest has paid for a meal, they shouldn't be prevented from eating just because they're late. If the food is still there, they could be allowed to serve themselves and take it away. At worst, it might already have been put away. What is wrong with being late for a meal? To me, this was an abuse of another person's rights and an attempt to misuse power.
