The cooking was good and I liked it, the staff were very polite, and it’s five minutes from the metro. But the bathroom had no air exchange, so the stink stayed there. Thin windows let the street traffic disturb our sleep. I also found hair in the bed and two or three very little old dust spots. Even if those had been washed and were old, I think they should be trashed and replaced. I hadn’t asked for replacements, but it still wasn’t good to find them on the bed. I was there with my girlfriend for three days and nights.

We had to switch rooms after the first night because our “non-smoking” room smelled strongly of cigarettes. The carpet and fixtures were old, though the bed was comfortable. Terrible.

The hotel was comfortable, though a bit pricey. The receptionist was rude and didn’t speak any English. When we tried to ask a question, he just kept yelling at us in German. Weird guy.

It’s a typical Old Berlin Style hotel, and the location is great, right by all the LGBT bars. You can walk to all the bars and restaurants. Maybe it’s not that gay friendly.
