Generator Berlin Alexanderplatz

Over six weeks of interrailing, this was the best hostel I stayed in. It had the lot: clean rooms, good service, a great atmosphere and solid amenities. Paulo and Lars were behind the bar during the three nights my friends and I were there. Both were polite and really helpful.

The Berlin hostel by Alexanderplatz was especially good for spending time together. The common areas are laid out for socializing, and the sofas are comfy for reading or planning the day. It was spotless, the staff were lovely, and they were quick to help with anything we needed. Trains, trams and buses are only a couple of minutes away on foot, too. Thanks for the hospitality! I'd also stayed at the Paris generator in March and was happy with the service, efficiency and comfort there. The bed setup was convenient, with a surprisingly comfy pillow, duvet and fresh sheet, plus USB and USB-C charging and a personal light for each bed.

The rooms were clean, though a bit small, and the shower was quite tight. Neither was a big problem for me. Staff were friendly, and the place was generally very clean. There was also a nice play hall downstairs. The one little improvement I'd suggest is adding a small towel in the lavatory.

Francesco deserves a special mention. He was professional, friendly and always available, and his city recommendations made our visit even better. The hotel itself is well kept, and our double room was lovely, comfortable and very clean, which matters a lot to me. A welcoming place with great service. I'd happily come back and recommend it.
