Hotel Nova Berlin

For a two-star hotel, it was good. I booked the small, inexpensive room for one night and was satisfied: it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Check-in isn't flexible, and the location is a little far from the central train station. There is another station right across the street, though.

For the price and location, this place is great, even if it isn't fancy. The rooms are standard and clean, with a safe and a small fridge. You're right across from the train station, so it's easy to connect to places all over. The staff are very friendly.

I wouldn't recommend this place. The rooms were okay, but the plumbing smelled a bit bad, and the service was awful. We had booked a place for two people through Booking. On our first evening, reception was closed and we couldn't get into the room, so we were stuck out on the street for eight hours. On other days, only one of us had a key. There was never anyone at reception to get another key from or help us enter the room. On Monday morning my friend was in a sleeper room, and I came back at 2 pm but couldn't get into the hotel because no one was at reception. You pay good money and still can't get into the room you rented. The service was disgusting, and this was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. If you value yourself, don't come here. You won't even get a pizza. I'd be glad to get 50 percent of my money back, no more. I've never had an experience like this, not even in India!

The service was great. They respected our privacy, and the cleaning was unbelievably efficient. The rooms were clean and large, with a full-size mirror in the bathroom, which was a big plus. The subway is right outside, with S-Bahn and U-Bahn connections. The only thing I don't understand is why a few guests talk loudly in the common areas.
