We stayed for ten days because a close relative was in the hospice across the street, and the personal touch made the place feel special. The staff were incredibly helpful. They lent us an EU compatible phone charger, chased after us with an umbrella on a rainy day, and, when we asked about breakfast nearby, opened the back courtyard and made breakfast for us with just a day’s advance notice. Check in is at the attached, very popular Vietnamese and sushi restaurant, where we had several outstanding meals. The neighborhood is great, and street parking was easy while we were there, though I imagine it gets harder at peak vacation season. Our room was a spacious, spotless standard room with nice modern appointments. The wifi was fast and included. Bring your own soap and shampoo.

The rooms were immaculate, and the hotel made sure our family had rooms close together. We booked rooms for ourselves and our son and his partner, and the staff graciously accommodated all our requests. We found the third party booking service confusing, but the hotel sorted out the problem and communicated clearly and promptly. The hotel is directly across the street from the health care facility we needed to visit. It was a pleasant nine minute walk to the train station, past the lake and park. We enjoyed many meals at the adjoining Vietnamese and sushi restaurant, and loved both the food and service. We hope to stay here again.

The breakfasts are quite extraordinary. It’s an old style gasthouse, with rooms above the eating area and farther back. The whole place felt homey. Just keep an eye out for those hidden steps.
