The personal service is what made this place stand out. The whole team was excellent, so it feels a bit unfair to single anyone out, but Laurent at the front desk deserves a mention. His excursion suggestions felt like genuine tips from someone who knows and loves the region, not recycled tourist brochure advice. That kind of help is rare. The rooms were in excellent condition, the location speaks for itself, and breakfast really was good quality, with none of the sad food in plastic trays you sometimes get at buffets. Dinner at the restaurant was warm and attentive, and the food lived up to its promises. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we were in the hands of people who genuinely enjoy looking after guests. Some hotels treat service like a checklist; the Mondrian Cannes made us feel the difference. With the industry rushing toward automation, self check-in, and staff-free efficiency, this was a welcome reminder of what hospitality can be. We left with a real thank you on our lips, and that isn't something you can take for granted.

The hotel handled a difficult family situation with a lot of understanding. A relative passed away on the day I was meant to travel, and they let us move our travel date to later. We really appreciated that. The room was perfect, with a comfortable bed and pillows, a large 50" TV, and a small kitchenette with a sink, fridge, microwave, and kitchenware that was handy for a quick meal. The hotel is nice and very well connected, with restaurants and cafes nearby as well as the metro. I'm happy I chose it.

I had everything I needed in the room, and being able to set the temperature myself mattered a lot to me. The lighting was the one downside. I spent long hours working there and those dim, yellowish lights kept making me sleepy. They’re nice in the evening, just not bright enough on a winter day.

The lounge is beautiful, and the location worked really well for business, but the price made the stay a huge disappointment. There were too many rats outside, the bar wasn’t operating, and there was nothing else nearby. The room needed attention too: the shower was falling apart, the windows and floors weren’t clean, and although there was a coffee machine, there were no capsules. We got only one bottle of water for the whole stay, and the pillows were much too soft. Lots of potential, poor follow-through for a HIP hotel.
