Motel One Berlin-Spittelmarkt

We slept really well thanks to a comfortable bed and two pillows. The room was small, but worked fine for a short visit. Getting around was easy: Spittelmarkt metro station is very close, with quick airport access and good connections across the city, and some sights are walkable too. Staff were friendly, and they let us leave our luggage at reception for as long as we needed. The bar was nice as well. Breakfast had good-quality ingredients, some organic items, and good coffee. I did miss having more egg options, since they only served boiled eggs. The lobby setup was a little awkward for breakfast, with tables and chairs that felt too low, so we ate at the bar where we were more comfortable. There was no water in the room, except for a bottle if you check in online, and no mini fridge either.

The room was lovely, with a good bed and a few pillow options. The lobby is really cozy, with a big bar and plenty of spots where you can sit and work on your own. I did find the receptionist hard to understand. Definitely worth a visit.

We had a smooth check-in, and the staff spoke English well. The hotel is a little way from the station, but still close enough to walk. It was quiet at night even though a main road is nearby, and Lidl is close by too. The location worked well for the Christmas markets. Our room was warm and clean, with enough room to open a suitcase, though there wasn't a kettle. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The shower had good pressure, and hot water came through quickly.

The lobby decor is beautiful, and the king-size bed was a real plus. The room itself was a bit small, and with two of us we could have used another chair and some face cloths. A male housekeeper walked in without warning, which made me uncomfortable. The staff on the main floor weren't very friendly. I'd put it at about 3.5.
