I was charged twice for accommodation I never used, and the written promise of a refund still hasn’t been honored. Formal legal proceedings have now been initiated to resolve the matter. I’d originally booked a refundable reservation, but mandatory professional training came up at the last minute. I missed the cancellation deadline and immediately informed the hotel. Customer service, whom I could hardly reach, said I’d only qualify for a refund if I made a new reservation on the same day. I felt pressured to reorganize an international trip at the last minute to secure the promised refund. Trusting what I was told and acting in good faith, I made a second booking under considerable stress. The hotel confirmed in writing that the first reservation would be refunded within 21 business days. More than two months have passed, and no refund has been issued. I couldn’t attend the second reservation either. Despite repeated attempts to sort this out, I’ve received no meaningful help, no accountability, and no clear resolution. Communication is handled almost entirely by AI-based systems, so reaching a “real human” representative is extremely difficult. If you stay here and run into an “unexpected issue”, don’t assume you’ll be able to speak with a real person. Even if you reach someone, I strongly recommend making sure the steps being taken are transparent, accurate, and fully compliant “with the law”. I find it hard to square my experience with some of the extremely positive reviews here. I can’t verify whether they’re authentic, but the contrast with certain overly enthusiastic ratings raises legitimate concerns!! Think wisely!
