Pension Wernicke-Das-Original

We decided at the last minute to have lunch there, without a reservation, and arrived early. They seated us at a reserved table. The food was very good and fairly priced, and the service was a 10 out of 10.

You can count on Wernicke's. Whatever I order, it always tastes great, and the portions are generous. I leave full and happy every time, like a Berliner after a holiday. It’s always a good choice, and I’ll be back! 🍽️👌

I was in Berlin for my first business trip and wanted to stay near our client. After plenty of searching online, I found Wernicke - The Original. When I called and couldn’t get through, they called me back in less than five minutes. The Wernicke family were very friendly and sorted everything out with me over the phone. I only needed one night instead of two, and the family came up with a solution. The room was a good size for me, clean, and had everything I needed. Since I arrived on a Monday, my key was in an outside key safe by the apartments. The restaurant is open Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and someone is usually there during those hours. Breakfast is served there Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00 AM. Parking was very limited because of the ongoing roadworks, but Mrs. Wernicke helped right away and found me a spot. All in all, it was a pleasant stay, and the service was excellent. Before driving home, I had schnitzel with a fried egg and fried potatoes at the restaurant. It was delicious and gave me plenty of energy for the drive. Thanks for the great service. Regards, Marcus
