Sorat Hotel Berlin

There’s a supermarket just a couple of minutes away, and public transport in several forms is all around the hotel. It's also right next to the zoo. The room was simple but clean, though a safe would have been a nice addition. In the morning they offered a complimentary drink and croissant, a nice touch even though it wasn't a full breakfast. The older man at reception was a bit quirky, but the staff were very helpful when we needed them. A nice stay, and we'd recommend it.

The team here made the biggest impression on me. Everyone was welcoming, helpful, friendly, and professional, and I'd definitely make this my base for future trips to Berlin. The location is perfect: there's a bus stop at the top of the street, and the U2 subway is at the bottom, straight to the centre. Edeka and Netto are around the corner, and KaDeWe and a whole street of big brand shops are nearby too. They don't have an official breakfast, but there's a generous selection of pastries to take away each morning, plus coffee and tea. If you want more, there's a nice bakery right across from the hotel. The room was simple and modern, with a comfortable bed, good soundproofing, and a bathroom that was big enough. This hotel deserves its stars and didn't disappoint at all.

The location worked really well for visiting Berlin. The underground is five minutes away, a supermarket takes three minutes to reach, and there's a cake shop two minutes away. Reception has a free map, the transport system is excellent and easy to use, and the Wi-Fi was very good. Our room at the rear was quiet, clean, and comfortable, with an excellent shower, though it was very hot and had a clingy curtain. The staff were friendly and helpful. We recently spent two nights at the Sorat, and it was excellent value. We'd highly recommend it.

The rooms and hotel were fresh, clean, and very tidy. Staff were friendly, and the simple breakfast included fresh croissants plus coffee, hot chocolate, and tea. It's perfect if you're spending a day at the zoo. For one person staying one night, though, 160 felt a little expensive.
