TOWNHOUSE Berlin

The area is quiet and rather upmarket, without feeling too touristy, and there are plenty of restaurants, cafés, bistros and bars nearby. It’s about 10-15 minutes from the nearest S-Bahn station, the Zoo and Ku-damm. We stayed four nights in November, and our room was warm, clean and spacious, with an adjustable radiator and a useful kitchenette with a toaster, kettle, hob and microwave. The bathroom was clean and the shower had good hot water. The hotel has a stylish 1930s Art Deco feel. Breakfast came from a menu rather than a buffet, with a good range of small and larger continental dishes and sandwiches, served in a cosy, comfortable room. We had a great stay.

The hotel is really lovely, and the staff are about as friendly as they come. The walls are very thin, though, and both check-in and check-out were slow, taking more than 15 minutes.

The room was cozy, with a little kitchenette and enough dishes for two. It had a kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster and microwave, and the minibar drinks were covered by the hotel, which was a nice touch. We stayed two nights with my daughter. Everyone at reception was pleasant and helpful, and the à la carte breakfast was great.

Be sure to include breakfast, it’s really worth it and saves you from spending time looking elsewhere. The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed, and the staff were very friendly. We’ll stay at Townhouse Berlin again next time we’re in Berlin.
