Bernstein Villa Kastania

We had a lovely four-night stay in late August in Suite with Balcony, Room 20, and would come back. The balcony had a nice view and the room was pretty quiet. There was plenty of space, comfortable couches, and a good-sized bathroom; the tub and shower worked well, and the fridge and AC were fine. They offer laundry, have a lobby vending machine, and provide room guides in German and English. It's close to the S-bahn, THE best Doner joint, a grocery store, a drug store and other restaurants. A couple of things might be hard: if you don't speak German, talking with the front desk could be a struggle, and the mattresses are quite firm. The bed was too hard for me, so I woke up in pain most days. The TV also had so many restrictions we couldn't use it. Still, a wonderful place to stay.

I could finally relax between all my plans, thanks to the quiet green street and the hotel's handy location, close to everything I needed. The furnishings were beautiful, high quality and timeless, and everything felt comfortable and clean. Breakfast was wonderful, with a good range of tasty salads, homemade items instead of mass-produced food, and even real scrambled eggs. I really enjoyed my time here.

The staff were superb, especially Luca, who was so hospitable and arranged an early breakfast before the marathon. The hotel is very handy for public transport and particularly convenient for getting to and from the Berlin Marathon. Our room was comfortable, and the balcony view was lovely. Danke!

We really enjoyed the suite, especially the spa and pool. The staff and rooms were delightful!
