The hosts were friendly and helpful, and sorting everything out was easy. This modern, beautifully furnished apartment sits beside a nature reserve and had all we needed. Even on rainy days, it was comfortable to relax indoors or on the covered balcony. Lake Chiemsee is very close, and the transport connections are good, with the motorway towards Munich and Salzburg and regional trains from nearby Bernau train station. The lovely surroundings are great for cycling. A really top-notch holiday apartment.

We felt at home as soon as we arrived. The apartment is furnished with a lot of care, and even with social distancing because of the corona situation, our hosts were warm and friendly. There’s plenty to do in this wonderful area, including cycling and hiking, and Munich is an hour by train from Bernau 😊

The Schwaiger family made our wedding day feel extra special. We got married in the village, and they welcomed us with flowers and rose petals on every step, plus sparkling wine and a small gift at the door. We even shared a schnapps that evening. This was our honeymoon apartment, and we’ll definitely come back. It’s one of the loveliest vacation rentals we’ve stayed in, so cozy, with the colors, lighting, and furnishings all fitting together. The balcony is inviting whatever the weather, for tea or hot chocolate when it’s cold and breakfast or other treats on warm days.

The hostess was helpful and gave us excellent recommendations. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, a lovely bathroom, and two bedrooms with very comfortable beds, though it’s a shame the pillows are thin. Parking is right outside, groceries are just around the corner, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby.
