You can really switch off here, surrounded by nature. There’s care in all the little details, from the house to the kitchen and the people. A lovely place to just be yourself. Thank you, Strumpffabrik, for being what you are ❤️

We booked Die Strumpffabrik because our group couldn’t agree on camping or a hotel, and it suited both. The owners got back to us quickly and were very comfortable writing and speaking English. They’re genuinely kind and did a lot to make our stay pleasant. It’s a great value place with a good feel to it. The rooms are simple rather than luxurious, but they’re modern, clean, and comfortable. One friend mentioned that their room felt a little too warm. The garden has a nice spot for tents and campers, though the website is clear that there aren’t full campsite facilities. The showers are basic, while the toilets are spacious, tidy, and clean. If you’ve got friends staying in a room, you might be able to use their shower. Breakfast was fresh and good quality, even if the regular choices were limited. On Sundays, the Global Breakfast Club has more unusual dishes. We sampled a few and liked how they looked and tasted, and the portions could work for lunch too. We had a wonderful time and would happily come back. If you’re after maximum luxury, this may not suit you, but it’s an affordable, stylish place with a nice atmosphere.

We only decided to stay one night the day before, but a quick phone call already gave us the feeling we’d be warmly received. The building was cosy, clean, and warm, and we had a great time on the snowy walks that start right outside, especially our dog. Breakfast was delicious, varied, and more than enough for two. We’re looking forward to coming back and trying the sauna.

There’s a lovely atmosphere here, with great people and beautiful nature around. The Strumpffabrik has flexible places to stay and camp, plus good infrastructure, food, drinks, and service. It also seems ideal for distinctive events. This gem is absolutely worth visiting!
