I stayed a couple of nights recently, in a small second-floor room. The roof angles made it feel even smaller since it was on the top floor, though the balcony was nice. I couldn't get Internet from the second floor, but it worked on the first floor and ground floor. I reported the problem, but it wasn't fixed during my stay.

Drei Rosen is a great choice, with kind, attentive staff, and it's just a minute's walk from the monastery and lake. We had lunch on a Saturday and the food was excellent: schnitzel, roast pork with crackling, and spatzle with sauce for the kid.

We had dinner there three times and were very happy with it each time. The food was great, service excellent, and prices fair. Portions varied a bit, but there's plenty of very good food. If you're hungry, we can especially recommend the Krustenbraten. We'll certainly visit again if we're back in Bernried!

Even though it was quite busy, the food and drinks arrived quickly. The meals were generously sized, and the price felt fair for what we got. Nice restaurant, with a good beer garden out back. We'd definitely come again.

The restaurant has a really nice atmosphere, and the food is good without being overpriced. For coffee, though, I'd go somewhere else.
