The location was alright, close to town, and the room was spacious and clean when we arrived. But over our five-day stay, there was no cleaning, fresh towels or anything like that. The bathroom radiator was so dusty we had to clean it before hanging the towels back up, and the large shower head seemed never to have been cleaned, with most holes blocked by limescale. Worst of all, the mattress was completely worn out, saggy, and we could feel the springs. Sorry, this definitely isn’t four-star quality.

I tried to book a room here, but the confirmation was for their sister hotel in another city. I called right away and got no answer, then emailed. Two days later they replied, confirming that it was for the sister property, which I already knew, and said the booking was nonrefundable from the time of purchase. I can only assume this is part of their business strategy. This feels like a scam. There are plenty of other good hotels, so stay at one of those.

It’s close enough to the main train station to walk, and the rooms are very clean and a lovely size, with their own bathroom. There’s a small kitchenette with a fridge, stove, crockery and cutlery. The big downside is the stairs. There’s no lift, so this isn’t a good choice if you’re disabled, elderly or unable to manage several flights while carrying luggage.

The shower was okay, but the staff seemed to disappear when we needed to ask questions. There’s no lift, which wasn’t mentioned anywhere, and that makes it tough. If you’re not very mobile, just don’t stay here. It was okay otherwise.

Some parts of the furniture in the room were broken, but as an apartment it was quite nice.
