The room had the basics, and the fresh towels and clean sheets were what mattered most. A kettle or hairdryer would have been nice. I had a pretty nice view, and the hotel serves a decent breakfast selection, with freshly boiled eggs and good hot coffee or tea. It’s very close to the railway tracks, which are used quite often. I love the sound of trains, so it didn’t bother me. I even enjoyed it.

I spent two weeks here while working nearby. The rooms had what I needed, and the showers were powerful and clean. It’s a good spot in Bingen, with lots of history and access to different activities in the Rhein Valley. The railway is very close, so if noise bothers you, ask for a room with windows facing another direction. Breakfast was a good continental spread, though gluten-free food wasn’t available as a standard option. I’d have liked a kettle in the room, as I start work early and drink tea in the afternoon.

We paid €170 for two nights, breakfast included for two people. That says a lot, given the central location. Rooms are €85 a night with breakfast, while lunch at the nearby terrace costs more, and other hotels in the area are over €160. The Rhein is just one minute away, and the location and view were lovely. The hotel is quite old, with an old smell, and the staff are older too. The mattresses are old and sag when you sit on them. There’s a lot of train activity nearby, and it’s loud. I love trains, so that was a plus for me. Breakfast won’t blow you away, but it gives you energy to start the day. I’d recommend it, since the money we saved went toward visiting the little villages nearby.

We’re travellers from Oz. The room was massive and comfortable, with a large bathroom. It’s an older-style hotel, but the service was great and the staff friendly. Breakfast was excellent. It’s close to the Rhein, making it easy to book a trip down the Rhein Gorge. The room overlooked the railway track, but that didn’t stop us getting a good night’s sleep.
