Landhaus Wächter

Historical decor and a lovely ambience make this a great place to stay. The reception staff are friendly and helpful, and breakfast is an excellent buffet with fresh food.

The rooms have lots of space and storage, and their charming furnishings suited us well. The bathroom is roomy too, although the shower curtain takes a little getting used to. We joked that they probably didn't have showers in the Middle Ages. It's a beautiful hotel decorated in medieval style, a bit beyond the city center. At an easy pace the pier takes about 15 minutes to reach, or around 10 minutes if you walk faster. Breakfast had something for everyone, and they brought out decaf coffee every morning. That was a thoughtful touch. Thanks for a stay that was just what we'd looked for and booked.

We enjoyed the stay, especially the friendly staff, including the Wächter family. The hotel has a wonderful atmosphere, and we loved the sauna, which can only be booked for two people. The massage was excellent too. Breakfast had something for every taste. We also loved the spontaneous dance in the chapel, which is well worth seeing, with a fire bowl on October 3rd.

The staff were helpful and gave us lots of information about Binz, and the pier is about a 15-minute walk away. Our large room had a very comfortable four-poster bed, but there were a few small issues: the toilet flush and the little bathroom mirror were broken. There was no kettle, and the water bottle waiting on arrival cost €4, which could have been complimentary. Breakfast was okay and sufficient.
