The interiors are spectacular, and the quiet village setting makes it easy to get a proper rest. This farm-style place is nothing like a standard hotel and ranks among my five favorite places to stay in Germany. I didn’t try the restaurant or sauna, though I’m sure they’d add to the charm.

Our dog had a little bed, food bowls, and water bowls waiting in the room, which was a lovely touch. The rooms are roomy and stylish, with a great bathroom, and the hotel blends old farm character with modern design really well. We loved the restaurant too. Antik-Hof Bissee is set in a beautiful, peaceful rural area, and we had a wonderful stay. We’d happily come back and would recommend it.

The room had a beautiful atmosphere, and it’s an easy five-star restaurant for me. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the duck special. It was generously seasoned and such a huge portion that I couldn’t finish it. The roast beef, steak, and fish were distinctive too. An English menu would have made things easier. I wasn’t keen on the vanilla ice cream, though the chocolate sauce helped.

The village looks like it belongs in a picture book, almost like a visit to the Shire. The buildings have been renovated with style and offer modern designer comfort, all in a beautiful setting. Staff were friendly, everything was very clean, and both breakfast and the restaurant were great.

There wasn’t an English menu, which was inconvenient for foreign visitors. Still, the food was fantastic, and the portion felt fair for the price. The restaurant is warm and welcoming, right beside the antique shop.
