The free "aktivCARD Bayerischer Wald" gives access to over 130 activities, and the central location makes it easy to head out on long, exciting hikes. There are also two inns nearby with excellent menus, including a brewery inn, and Landhaus Erna serves a small evening menu that I’d happily recommend. It poured every day during our 9-day break, but we still enjoyed ourselves from start to finish. The hosts were so friendly and attentive, our room had a balcony, and the quiet, secluded setting came with a beautiful view. Breakfast was excellent too. Everything about our stay at Landhaus Erna felt just right, and the price was great for what we got. I’d absolutely recommend it.
