Pension Waldblick

The peaceful surroundings made it easy to relax, and the family who run this guesthouse are super nice. My room was spotless, the bed was really comfortable, and breakfast had plenty of variety. They also serve a delicious hot meal in the evening. I was here for business for the first time and would gladly come back, whether for work or a personal trip. Highly recommend it.

The people who originally owned this guesthouse looked after it with care and charm for decades. What a contrast with our last visit in summer 2023. We’d stayed here two years running, but that stay was very disappointing. The room had an overwhelming smell of cheesy feet, so we lit scented candles. The staff did try, but didn’t take criticism well. We ordered fried eggs and they arrived completely runny and salty. When we raised it, they brushed us off.

There’s no mobile phone reception, which is the one downside. At least there’s internet, so WhatsApp and calls still work. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the place really suits anyone after a quiet stay. We also needed somewhere pet-friendly, and it was. It’s a very welcoming family-run place. Breakfast is generous, and they pay close attention to what guests need. A top-notch stay, keep it up!

The guesthouse has a lovely, peaceful setting, just 15-20 minutes from the Großer Arber mountain. The food was really good and there was a nice variety, especially at breakfast. Beds are incredibly comfortable and the rooms are clean. You can tell a lot of time and passion has gone into the place. The hosts are super lovely and friendly, and make you feel so warmly welcomed. It has a genuinely welcoming family-run atmosphere. Highly recommend it.
