The view from the balcony over Bodenmais and Silberberg was a real highlight, and the fresh rolls the very friendly Göstls brought us each day were lovely. My wife and I stayed in their "Panorama" apartment for a second time. It’s on the top floor, above two other holiday apartments, and has everything we needed. The Göstls live on the ground floor. We’d happily return.

From the balcony we had a lovely view across Bodenmais, and the house was peaceful while still being a short walk from the town center. We stayed in the Sonnenschein apartment, which was clean and nicely furnished. We’d definitely recommend both the apartment and the house.

It was easy to get around on foot from here, with the town center, train station, and Joska supermarket all close by, so we could leave the car parked. The apartment sits high above Bodenmais, with a wonderful view of the town and mountains, and it was remarkably quiet despite being central. We felt right at home in the cozy place, especially with its tiled stove. The Göstl family were warm and welcoming. I also loved browsing the one-of-a-kind handmade pieces in hobby artist Mr. Göstl's garage workshop. You can buy them or ask for something custom-made. We’d love to stay again. 🧡

Mrs. Göstl made traveling without a car especially easy: she collected us from the train station when we arrived and took us back there on our departure day. Bodenmais and the surrounding area have great infrastructure, and there are well-marked hiking routes for all fitness levels. We stayed over Christmas and found the apartment comfortable, with a modern shower room and even a hairdryer. The view down over Bodenmais from up high is something special. We’ll definitely return.
