Haus Talblick

The apartment was very spacious, and the hilltop location had parking right outside. We used the local bus to get up to the accommodation and, when needed, to the village or station. Our week in Bodenmais was great value: we booked an apartment with breakfast, including a kitchenette with a dishwasher, two-burner cooktop, fridge with freezer compartment, and microwave. Breakfast was plentiful, and anything that ran out was quickly replenished. The guesthouse comes with the Activcard Bayerischer Wald and Guti Ticket, which offer lots of free activities in and around Bodenmais. We highly recommend it!

We highly recommend Haus Talblick and would gladly return. The family greeted us warmly and gave us useful tips for getting around Bodenmais. The rooms and apartments are renovated and in excellent condition. There's plenty of parking at the house and by the wooden cabin at the entrance. Payment is cash only, as card payments aren't preferred. A large fridge holds drinks for a fee, and there are local spirits too; guests can help themselves to glasses from the buffet. Our room was clean and ready when we arrived. It had a comfortable double bed, a single bed that also worked as a sofa, mini-fridge, safe, roomy wardrobes, desk, and seating. The garden-facing balcony was lovely. The bathroom had a shower and toilet, with a small bottle of shower gel and hand soap by the sink. Towels and bedding were provided, and the TV and Wi-Fi both worked perfectly. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful each morning, with rolls and bread, cakes and pastries, cold cuts, cheese, butter, cereals and muesli, yogurt, milk, fresh fruit and vegetables, jam, hazelnut spread, honey, and cream cheese. There was a self-service coffee machine, plus a good range of teas, juices, and water. The hostess would cook eggs fresh on request, and you could eat in the breakfast room or on the outdoor terrace. Items were replenished when asked. Rooms were cleaned daily on request. Used towels left on the floor were replaced.

Friendly hosts, a fantastic sauna, and a superb location with a great view. It's a wonderful place to stay and very good value for money.

That view from the guesthouse was breathtaking, and we were happy to linger there. The four of us had a wonderful week at Haus Talblick in Bodenmais and were thrilled with the spotless rooms, comfortable beds, and generous, fresh, nicely presented breakfast buffet. The hosts were so welcoming and friendly, giving the place a lovely family feel. And we can't forget the charming resident dog! 🐾 After long hikes in the warm weather, the Kneipp foot bath was just what our tired feet and hands needed. There was a great selection of drinks at a small price afterward, very convenient. With the AktivCard, we got discounts or free admission to many regional attractions. We also left the car behind and travelled easily by bus and train. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back. Thanks for the lovely time!
