There's lots to do with small children nearby, and the location is fantastic. We tried the indoor pool and children's play area, which were perfectly adequate. The hotel is a bit dated, but it was very clean. Reception and restaurant service were excellent, and we enjoyed the food too. We'd love to return!

The e-bike rental was a highlight, at €5 per hour or €29 for the day, cheaper than renting in town. We stayed four nights at the Sonnenhotel Fürstenbauer with my young daughter, and the negative reviews had made me unsure beforehand, but we were treated kindly. The staff did their best to make things pleasant despite the language barrier. Our simple room had all we needed, including a small kitchenette, fridge and a nice little bathroom. It was clean, though the trash might not have been emptied every day. Breakfast was plentiful with cold cuts, muesli and fruit. Dinner had variety, even if one day's meal wasn't to our taste. The pool was fairly warm, as I've experienced before, and had plenty of toys like balls and pool noodles for little ones.
