Villa Strandnah - Ferienwohnungen

We've stayed at "Villa Strandnah" several times, in two different apartments. It's such a great spot near the beach, and the apartments are stylishly decorated and well equipped. It makes for a lovely holiday.

Check-in at Villah Strandnah, WE02 Garden Suite was quick and easy, and the interior was clean and looked like the pictures. Outside was another story. The terrace seemed not to have been cleaned for weeks, maybe months: cobwebs everywhere, and the fly screens, floor and seating were all dusty and dirty. We'd already called a technician about the living-room exterior blind. He arrived quickly and showed us a workaround for using it despite the fault. Since we'd just had to arrange that, we didn't want to call a cleaning service again for the whole terrace. We were traveling with a toddler and wanted to relax, so we quickly cleaned it ourselves to make it usable. After the holiday, we contacted Ostseetraum Ferienwohnungen (Baltic Sea Dream Holiday Apartments). They bluntly said the check-in form requires guests to contact them within 24 hours of arrival. I found that response very disappointing. It felt like they were brushing us off and pointing to a form, with no accommodation at all, especially given today's high prices. A real shame.

The terrace opens straight onto the parking lot, with no privacy at all. Cars arriving or leaving seem to pull right up beside the breakfast table, so it isn't very pleasant to use. Inside, the apartments are clean and furnished well, with standard amenities. The beach is a good five-minute walk away, and there's a small shop at the nearby campground where you can get fresh rolls every day. We enjoyed the stay and would book again.

At Villa Strandnah, the name really fits: the beach is only steps away. We spent a few days there and felt very comfortable. The apartment had everything we needed, and the pleasant holiday complex was a lovely place to unwind. We'll definitely return, next time with our dog.
