What worked especially well for us was being able to leave the car behind. The S-Bahn to Leipzig runs every 30 minutes, and there are bike routes along the Pleiße River and around the lake district. We could also bring our dog, which was a real plus. We'd booked a few days away on the spur of the moment and wanted somewhere close by. This house was a great fit: it’s spacious and comfortable, with three bedrooms for six people, two bathrooms with showers, a modern kitchen, and a big living room. There’s a small grill and outdoor dining area for evenings, plus a fireplace in the living room for colder weather. We had a lovely stay, and I hope you do too if you give it a try. 🙂

The nearby lakes are good for water sports, or you can explore the area by bike and ferry. The house itself is very nice, with three bedrooms, two modern bathrooms with showers, and a terrace right next to it. There’s also a barbecue, though it hadn’t been cleaned out, and the garden looked unkempt. The rubbish bin was full too, and there’s no dishwasher, so a few things felt neglected.
