Boltenhagen is lovely, and the location is hard to beat, just 300 meters from the fantastic dog beach. With some care, the property could be something special. The new kitchenette already has a leaking sink drain, though, and the beds were a shock: torn sheets and mattresses that sagged badly. The TV signal kept cutting out, there was no Wi-Fi, and the shower only had lukewarm water. We had booked a week but left on day four. It’s a shame, but we won’t stay at Ferienhaus Koralle again.

The photos must be from when the place first opened. We won’t return, and I can’t recommend it. For €61 in final cleaning, you’d expect the apartment to be clean, but on the second day I swept up dog hair left by previous guests. The oven was filthy, the bathroom cramped, and neither side of the house was wheelchair accessible. The cookware was disgusting, unusable, and smelled musty. The mattresses were worn and moldy, and the sofa sagged.
2/10
Cold, damp, musty, and uncomfortable, with dirty, saggy mattresses and no amenities. It’s a truly awful garden shed, its old charm long gone, with a Mediterranean look. There’s no Wi-Fi, and the electric heating costs extra.

We like the complex, but we won’t book this apartment again. We’ve stayed there several times in recent years, or rather in the apartment on the right. The furnishings are quite worn, the cleanliness was poor, and we still found dog hairs left behind.
