Hotel Garni Auszeit

We had such a lovely stay at Hotel Auszeit. It's a small, charming hotel, and the atmosphere feels incredibly warm. The owner was so friendly and helpful, and you can tell how much care goes into the place. We really appreciated the useful suggestions for things to see nearby. Everyone on staff was welcoming and attentive. Breakfast was generous and thoughtfully prepared, with everything we could have wanted. We felt very comfortable and would happily return. I came as a solo traveler and was given a cozy little single room with its own bathroom. It was clean and well kept, and daily cleaning was available if requested, though I didn't always need it. The Nordic, modern look really suited me. The hotel has a quiet spot a little outside the center. I liked walking along the beach and promenade, and there's also a bus, currently costing €1. The breakfast was tasty and varied, with morning sunlight coming through the big windows in the breakfast room even in November. It made me want to sit and stay awhile. What stood out most was how welcoming Mr. Palm and Ms. Großner were. They treated me like an individual guest, not a number, and shared helpful ideas for activities nearby. I enjoyed my short break enough to add another day and explore more of the Klützer Winkel region. It's a place I'd gladly visit again. Thank you!

The breakfast buffet has plenty of variety, and they'll make egg dishes fresh if you ask. The breakfast staff were friendly, though the room was incredibly noisy with dishes clattering and the dishwasher running. We weren't offered a drink from the professional coffee and espresso machine. The hotel is small and in a quiet location. It's fairly basic, but has the essentials. There isn't a lobby, though that wasn't a problem, and we got useful tips for the surrounding area and Wismar.
