The location is perfect, and most of the staff are very friendly. The rooms are nice and everything is very clean. Still, avoid eating or working out here if you can: breakfast is really disappointing, dinner is just as bad, and the food seems to be the cheapest they could find. The gym is awful, with hardly any space, tiny windows, and a very uncomfortable setup. If you skip the meals and the workout, you can have a great time.

The one thing that let me down was the pool. It was too cold for a comfortable swim in winter. I also had trouble using my Globalist perks: water that should have been complimentary was put on my minibar bill, even after I explained we were asking for free water. At checkout, the colleague didn’t understand when I tried to sort it out, so I paid rather than argue. I’m a Hyatt globalist and stayed 150 nights this year across different Hyatt properties. Linder hotel in Boltenhagen is comfortable, with friendly staff throughout, good-quality breakfast, and great facilities. Luca at reception deserves a special mention. They were delightful and may be the most professional Hyatt colleague I’ve met. Some staff could use more training on Globalist benefits.

The crew were the highlight, very professional and helpful. Globalist treatment at Hyatt was above average. Rooms are modern, and the restaurant is quite good, with both a set menu and à la carte options. It’s also handy for the Travemunde ferry terminal, about an hour away by car, if you arrive the day before sailing.

The harbor view is nice from the outdoor tables and inside the restaurant too. The food is well prepared, with fish, meat, and vegetable choices. Prices are a little higher than at other local restaurants, but I thought it was worth it. You can pick from a few dishes that change, or go for the three-course menu.
