Really nice hotel and apartments 👍🏼

Breakfast was delicious, and the mattresses were comfortable. It’s also a handy base for bike rides into the Ries region, with a lovely view of the Ipf mountain from the hotel.

The owner was so accommodating when our clothes got soaked on our hike, taking them straight to the drying room. By the next day they were dry and folded. Our single rooms were roomy and nicely furnished, and the breakfast spread was generous and varied. Those bathrooms with their 70s decor are iconic. Great value for money, and we’d happily come back.

We’ve stayed here twice after concerts, in two different rooms. The owners are warm, attentive, and ready to help, and the service makes you feel welcome right away. They also don’t hike the rates just because there’s an event on. It’s a great spot for the Stadtgarten concert, only a few minutes away on foot, and for exploring nearby too. Free private parking is a nice bonus. Both rooms were spacious, clean, and tastefully done, like the rest of the hotel. The courtyard terrace is a cozy place to sit, with flowers, a fountain, and complimentary coffee. The Wi-Fi worked really well everywhere. There were a few downsides that kept us from giving five stars. The bathroom on our first stay was about 50 years old and felt dark, and the beds in the second room were too soft for me. Breakfast was the biggest letdown after so many good impressions. It had the basics, but the choice was quite limited, with pre-cooked eggs, packaged industrial bread instead of fresh bread, and just two kinds of jam, which won’t suit everyone. We understand the reasons, but compared with other hotels it mattered to us. We’d have given 4.5 stars if that were an option. We’d still stay here again if we’re in the area.
