Park Hotel Bad Salzig

The food was tasty, and the balconies were a nice feature. The rooms were pleasant too, with an OK bathroom. If you're on the larger side, though, you may find the shower difficult to use.

The rooms were good, and it's a nice place to stay when visiting Koblenz or the surrounding area. We couldn't really judge the service, since the whole hotel staff was on holiday when we booked.

We only stayed one night and wished we'd booked longer. It was a cozy, very clean place, with birds singing and a brook bubbling in the woods across the street to wake up to.

There was one real positive: the bikes could be parked under cover for free. The rest of our stay was disappointing, and I can't recommend it. The room was tiny, the smallest hotel room I've seen in my 76 years. In the photo, you can see the bed squeezed between the walls, leaving no room to walk. The supposed double was actually two single beds pushed together, and the separate duvets kept falling onto the floor, waking us up again and again. The TV had no sound, though it was replaced, and the WiFi in our room was a disaster. The bathroom was a two-square-meter box, and water leaked badly under the shower doors. The restaurant's limited menu had just one beef dish, one pork, one fish, one pasta, and one salad. More than one night would have been culinarily boring. A simple continental breakfast cost €15, which definitely wasn't worth it. Parking spaces were small and hard to maneuver in, and they charged for parking, though there was roadside parking.
