We couldn't get enough of the hotel's food, so we ate there instead of going to other restaurants. The room was spacious, tidy, and clean, and the bed was very good. I usually look for a family-run place with good reviews and fair value, and this one ticks all those boxes. Everyone made a real effort to keep us comfortable and make us feel like family. The service was great, and their big, lovely smiles made us feel better right away. I'd recommend it to anyone.

The food won us over: it was homemade, fresh, and really tasty. They made eggs to order, brought hot chocolate for our son every morning, and even got vegan yoghurt just for me when I asked. The fresh fruit was excellent, and the soup was so good. Our sheets were lovely, beds made daily, and towels changed. There was some dust and a few unfinished details, and we found a wrapped cheese in the mini fridge that wasn't ours, which wasn't clean. The toilet water also looked an odd color. We had read the good and bad reviews and arrived a little ready to flee if it was awful. I can see why some people mentioned issues, but think about the price, you're not paying for a castle with a private butler. The way the people here look after everyone really grew on us, and we'd certainly return.

The location is wonderful, near the Rhine and just two minutes from the train station. Our room was big, pleasant, and very clean, and the staff were generous with their time and advice. With the new owner Diana, everything was lovely: she gave us a welcome drink and another drink, and the food was wonderful. On Sunday we asked for a late breakfast and were surprised with a great brunch. For the price, it's a really good deal. I enjoyed my stay and recommended it to friends for their honeymoon, and they enjoyed it too. 🙂
