We stayed in apartment 8, one of the apartments privately rented out by the building’s owners. The apartment was well furnished and had all the amenities of a private home. The building is on a quiet street, with parking and bicycle storage in the courtyard. The city center is easy to reach in 30 minutes. Bringing a bicycle lets you explore all the island’s attractions.

The apartment suited us, though with four adults it would be a bit cozy. We were two adults and two kids aged 8 and 12, and would gladly book it again. The whole house is well located for bike trips in every direction, and there’s a small balcony too. Inside, the hallway is lovely, the living area cozy, and the two Murphy beds make for a good overnight stay. The bedroom has room for luggage and very comfortable beds. The bathroom is spacious, with a roomy glass shower enclosure. The kitchen is small but has everything you need besides a stove with oven, microwave, kettle and coffee maker. We felt comfortable from the start.

Apartment No. 6 was spotless and newly renovated, just right for two people, though two children could fit too. It’s quite a walk to the town center, so I’d recommend having bicycles. I can’t speak for the other apartments.

Lidl, Markant, Kik, and lots of restaurants are all within walking distance. It’s a lovely house in a great spot, with both the train station and south beach also reachable on foot.

We’d be happy to return to this lovely apartment. It’s thoughtfully furnished and has everything you might need. The bakery, Lidl, and fish shop are each about a five-minute walk away. Borkum is worth a visit, and so is this place.
