Loreley bed and breakfast

We were grateful to have laundry available after the hike, and the balcony gave us a nice spot for our picnic. Astrid and Wolfgang made us feel at home in the spotless upstairs rooms, which we had to ourselves that night. We shared cappuccino and a chat while Albert kept an eye on the back yard. Rather than head out for dinner, we had reasonably priced wine and beer with the packed lunches we’d carried along. Bornich was just a 15-minute, 0.5 mi detour from the Rheinsteig, at N50.12540° E7.75115°. My wife and I stopped there in September to break up the long hiking day from Kaub to St. Goarshausen, and we were very glad we did. If you’d rather split the 14-mile stage, Loreley B&B is a great option. We’d recommend it and would stay again.

A lovely place to stumble across. The host was great, the rooms were very nice, and breakfast was excellent.

Everything went smoothly, and when I left I was invited to have an espresso and a quick chat. The room was clean, freshly disinfected, and pleasantly furnished, with a balcony, about 4 km from the Lorelei. I received a friendly welcome with COVID precautions in place.
