The room was clean, nicely decorated, and had quality beds. A small fan might have helped on warm nights, though it wasn’t really a problem. There’s a garden and balconies guests can use to relax and have a drink. The fridge works on a self-service basis, with all kinds of drinks, just make a note of what you take. Han and Anja are a very friendly Dutch couple running this small, laid-back hotel. Breakfast was delicious, with eggs freshly made to order just how you like them. We had a lovely few nights in peaceful surroundings with nice views, and will definitely stay again on our next visit to Harz.

For five nights, we had a great stay with lovely hospitality and an outstanding breakfast spread. There was a different fresh fruit salad each day, crisp fresh rolls, several egg choices, lots of cheese and cold cuts, and all the coffee and tea you wanted. The mattress was the best we’ve ever slept on, and the whole place was very clean. We were told the place would close in November and all the bathrooms would be renovated, though ours was perfectly okay. With the quality, friendly service, and breakfast, you might expect to pay twice as much. The price is reasonable for such a good stay. There are great walks nearby and old towns a short drive away. Five out of five.

The hostess was really helpful, and we appreciated all the effort she made for us. It’s a lovely little family hotel, with clean, comfortable rooms and good COVID precautions. Those measures did mean the terrace was closed, unfortunately. Thanks again for your help!
