At night it was so peaceful, and the stars were clear right outside the door. As someone who lives in a city, I especially loved that. The house was cozy and spotless, and we felt at home straight away. The host family were warm and attentive, making us feel welcome. It was just the place to unwind and enjoy nature. I’d gladly recommend it, and thank the lovely owners! :)

We had a fantastic long weekend and will definitely return. The garden is beautiful, with sweeping views of the countryside, and inside everything was clean and very well equipped, especially the kitchen.

The landlord’s restaurant suggestions were easy to follow, and the security deposit came back promptly, so the whole stay was stress-free. The house has all the space, comfort, and amenities you could want, and then some. Hohengeiß is a quiet village on the former border between East and West Germany, while still being close to many places to visit in the Harz Mountains.

The family are lovely, and we’d be happy to come back. It’s an easy place to reach, and the house is spacious, beautiful, and fully equipped.
