The main drawback was cigarette smoke from the office, which sometimes made its way into our room. Otherwise, parking right beside the house was no problem, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfasts were big and tasty. The rooms were clean and cleaned every day. It’s a good hotel, and the owner was very friendly.

The location was peaceful but still central, with parking right next door. We had a lovely stay at Pension Kilian. The room was spacious and clean, and breakfast was a varied, tasty buffet. The owners were very friendly, and we’d love to return. :)

The quiet surroundings made for restful nights, and public transport connections were good. Hotel-Pension Kilian had clean rooms, a pleasant atmosphere, and friendly service. Breakfast was fresh with a varied selection.

The terrace and its neat surroundings make it easy to unwind at Claudia and Rainer Willgeroth's place. I’ve stayed at Hotel Kilian before and will certainly return. It’s run very well by the Willgeroth family, on a quiet side street about 100 meters from the town center. The rooms are a little dated, though very clean. I come to the Harz Mountains at least once a year for motorcycling, and this is the only hotel I’d consider. There’s plenty of parking for bikes, and the price for what you get is excellent. Breakfast is phenomenal for a small hotel, even when there aren’t many guests; the buffet leaves nothing to be desired.
