Premier Inn Braunschweig City Centre

We had a great time and would stay here again if we visit Braunschweig. The price was about 75€, and the city-centre location made restaurants and cafés easy to reach without a long walk. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean, with soap and other basics provided. Staff greeted us warmly and helped with the Wi-Fi, which worked well in the room and elsewhere. Breakfast ran from 6:30 to 10:30 and offered lots of variety, including gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan choices. I especially liked being able to choose from different teas at the tea and coffee station. One small thing: there was a juice dispenser in the dining hall, but no water fountain or dispenser. That might be useful for visitors eating there.

I couldn’t get there because of the heavy snowfall, and booking.com was completely incompetent in handling the communication and arrangements. The hotel staff, though, really did help. I’d recommend booking directly through the hotel’s website to get the most out of the stay and the good service.

There’s plenty of space, including in the bathroom, and the bed and linens were comfortable. The shower head was the telephone-style kind. The hotel is conveniently located near amenities and historic places.

The room smelled of mould. I’d never encountered a charge for staying up to two extra hours before; elsewhere in Germany, places had always been flexible and let me extend by two hours for free.
