Hotel Hansahof Bremen

We only spent one night here on a road trip. It's a good hotel, close to the autobahn, with large, clean rooms and a few restaurants nearby. There's also an S-Bahn station close by, so getting into central Bremen should be easy if you want to. Parking could be better.

The furniture felt old and unwelcoming, and the breakfast wasn't impressive. The bread wasn't fresh, though the eggs were good. The hotel is about 7 km from the city centre, but the street noise was really bad. It was very hot inside, so we had to sleep with the windows open, and the cars and people outside kept making a lot of noise until late. It was almost impossible to sleep.

There are a couple of supermarkets, including Netto and Rewe, and places for pizza or kebabs within a kilometre or so. The hotel is better suited to a short stay, just a couple of days at most. Our room was spacious but worn and oddly styled. There wasn't really room to set up a laptop apart from a tiny table. The bathroom was strange too. There was a roomy hallway with space for a suitcase and a closet with a safe. The rooms were just okay overall. Breakfast was okay, with eggs, bread, ham, cheese, and fruit salad, but the selection was the same every day. Fine for up to four days. Parking was difficult to maneuver into, and there are only four paid spaces for the whole hotel. We paid €6 for day and night.

A decent budget place if you're trying not to spend much. It has a motel feel, so keep your expectations modest. The breakfast selection is a bit limited, and the photos make it look much better than it is in person.
