The setting is lovely: a gorgeous park, a nearby town that's a pleasure to walk around, a train station, several nice cafes, and a lovely Edeka with a cafe. There aren't many other services like stores, but the whole place feels like a relaxing country garden. The rooms are lovingly and artfully furnished with antiques and interesting pieces, and the bathroom was sparkling clean and comfortable. Getting in by code is a bit inconvenient and not the easiest to figure out, but the location and setting are hard to beat.

Good value, clean rooms, a pleasant location, and decent parking. But the place feels a little sad, like it's living in the melancholy shadow of its glory days. Fine for a night while passing through, but I wouldn't recommend a longer stay.

You mostly hear birdsong here. People walk their dogs, but even the dogs are quiet. It’s a peaceful, romantic park, with lots of beautiful, very old trees.

The room was clean and stylish, and it was a calm place to spend the night while on holiday. Sorting out the self check-in was a little tricky, but we got it done.

We waited about 10 minutes for a waitress. Through the window, we could see the staff in the kitchen chatting with each other, and it felt as if they hadn’t noticed us.
