I’ve stayed at quite a few Motel One hotels, and they’ve always been a good standard. This one was very much the usual. Breakfast was continental rather than cooked.

The room was very quiet, and I liked the screen showing a fish video, but it was small and missing several basics: a kettle with instant coffee and tea, glasses, and a hairdryer. The hotel was alright, but I don’t think paying 30-40 euros more than at other business hotels is justified.

The staff were helpful, and the location is handy for Bremen. The river restaurants are close by, and it’s about a 15-minute walk to The Old Town Schnoor. The hotel is modern, though the double rooms are a bit small.

I picked this hotel because I wanted to be close to the city centre, and it made it easy to get around Bremen. Most tourist spots and restaurants are nearby, and Bremen Hauptbahnhof is also close and easy to reach by tram. If you want to explore on foot or by bike, it’s a good choice. They also have a loyalty program.
