Atlantic Hotel am Flötenkiel

The staff were really helpful and nice, and breakfast had lots of variety. The hotel was comfortable and clean, with parking too. I’m taking off one star because there’s no A/C.

We came during a heat wave, and the rooms had no air conditioning. We also couldn’t get a parking spot at the hotel, so had to look elsewhere. The hotel itself was very clean. Most of the staff were friendly and nice, though one person was an exception.

Breakfast was good and had a nice variety, though refills could be slow. There was plenty of coffee with breakfast, but I wasn’t offered any during the day. The hotel was clean and fairly convenient for public transport, but arriving by car can be difficult because there aren’t enough parking spaces. The staff were okay, although I got a negative vibe, which may just be my personal impression. I specifically asked for a second towel and it never came at first, so I picked one up at reception. The next day it had been removed, even though I’d left the towels hanging so they’d be reused for the environment. There were no hygiene products or other small standard hotel items in the room, like a shoeshine kit, sewing kit, or shoehorn. There’s no air conditioning, and with the outside walls made of windows, the place gets hot. Streets surround the hotel, so traffic noise carries both day and night. If you’re a light sleeper, leaving the window open isn’t an option.

Clean hotel, and there’s parking. The rest was good, though I took off a star because of the A/C. I’d also have liked a coffee machine, or even a vending machine, in the lobby.
