We’d been searching all Saturday afternoon before finding a room here for that same evening. It was spacious and clean, and the dinner was delicious. Breakfast was lovingly prepared, and the hosts were attentive with excellent service. We’d gladly return.

Everything is freshly cooked, and the cakes are homemade. It’s all delicious, and the rooms are very clean. This family run hotel has friendly, helpful hosts who make you feel welcome. It’s conveniently located, with a beautiful view of the mountains and ski jumps. We’d love to come back.

Dinner at Berggarten with the family was lovely again. The food was delicious, and the service really attentive. Big thanks for a great evening :).

We used the hotel as our starting point for the first stretch of our Rennsteig hike. Rides to and from each stage were excellent, and the conversations along the way about the area's past and present added a lot to the hikes. We did the second part from the Kleeberghotel in Lichte. The place has a warm, family-run feel. The food is exceptionally good, the beer selection is very good, and the rooms are charmingly furnished with everything you could need.
